Baby Update {40 Weeks}

We made it!

Today is baby's due date, and she still hasn't made an appearance. At this point, she's just hanging out and gaining a little fat, but she is ready to be born anytime now.

We're trying to go about our lives the best we can, but it's not easy being patient.

Since my Centering group had its final session last week, I got a call from the clinic this week asking me to go in again to touch base. Everything looked good, and seemed to be progressing normally in preparation for the big day...although that could still be anywhere from now to a week or more away. Otherwise, I'm to keep active, hydrated, and basically keep on living life for now. If baby doesn't make her appearance by next Thursday, I'll have another appointment and we'll do a non-stress test to make sure she's still happy and healthy in there.

I've still been having lots of Braxton Hicks contractions, and over the past few days they have kind of started feeling like the real thing at times, but they always eventually die down again. Who knows...tonight, we're supposed to have severe weather, which has been said to put people into labor. We can only hope!

I'm thinking this will be our last update until baby is here, so until then...we'll just be hanging out, waiting.

  1. Maybe your baby wants to share her birthday with Great-grandpa Ray? 😃
