On August 23, Kenna turned a month old. We had her 1-month checkup, and she was up to 9 lbs. 14 oz, and 22.5 inches. She has been smiling already, and chattering, especially when we put her on the changing table. Like most babies, she loves dark colors and happily "talks" to the dark wood on the side of the crib/changing table. She still doesn't like to sleep much, although in the past few days she's been sleeping a bit better.
We also had our 4th anniversary on August 25. We didn't do anything special this year since there's not much we could do with a newborn. Dan picked up Chinese food after work, then he mowed the lawn and we gave Kenna a bath before putting her to bed. Exciting day! And that night, she thought it would be fun to keep me up from midnight till about 6 AM. :(
I've been on maternity leave for 5 weeks now, so I'm trying to enjoy the last few weeks while I can. Then I start working at home for a couple months...which could be quite interesting. We'll see how that goes!
