Memorial Weekend through July 2018

| we closed on our home in Huron, then went Up North for Memorial Weekend |
This is going to be long (even though it's split into two parts!). This blog is supposed to be like a diary of our lives, a place to record what's happening -- where we can look back and recollect -- but I've missed a lot already. Here's a quick overview of the first half of our summer.
June
We all had fun when Debbie visited at the beginning of June, and Kenna loved getting to know her!We finally met baby Clay!
We went to the Clear Lake beach for Father's Day.
I got away for a ladies' trip to Two Harbors, MN this summer with Mom and all my sisters (and sister-in-law). What a blast! We spent a good portion of the trip searching for agates and cool rocks.

Kenna went through a phase this summer where she was constantly taking care of her babies...feeding them, shushing them, making sure they were warm and had naps.

July
For the most part, Kenna enjoyed watching fireworks on the 4th of July, and the parade was a lot of fun, even though it was hot and humid, and we didn't get a front row seat. A couple nice people ran treats back to her (and freezies for all of us!).
We finally closed on our new home in Mason City and got all moved in. We're mostly settled in now, although there's still a lot of work to do...painting, decorating, unpacking the last of the boxes....
The ice cream truck came by when grandpa and grandma were over, so we all got treats!
